Dr. Mehmet Gürsoy

-Turkey's greatest tile master

Born in Denizli/Bekilli in 1950, Mehmet Gürsoy graduated from Kayseri Education Institute. He was a student of Prof. Dr. Muhsin Demironat. In 1986, he was awarded 2 first and 1 second prize in 3 branches in the International tile competition held under the auspices of the Presidency. The artist, who has held 60 exhibitions around the world to date, was recognized as a heritage bearer by UNESCO in 2009 and declared “Living Human Treasure”.
